The Story Behind the Art
In small town along the Central coast of Viet Nam, Le Anh Phi, her family, and a small group of artisans have been perfecting the art of handcrafting bamboo items for many years. This trade has been passed down from generation to generation and allows the family not only to express their creative talents through traditional art but also allows them to earn a living outside of the traditional means of farming. Le Anh Phi's children are gradually learning the process and when she no longer chooses to run the business, it will then be passed on to them.
